Formed in 1997 at the Royal College of Music, this innovative duo are frequently commissioned to write and perform new compositions or make new arrangements of standard repertoire, thus making them a highly original choice for your event.
To date, Zxyros have given a number of premiere performances, including the UK Premiere of Lowell Liebermann's Sonata for Flute and Harp, Opus 56 and the Scottish Premiere of "Princesa de Hadas" by Mexican Composer Jose Luis Elizondo at the 1998 Ayton Castle Music Festival.
In addition to these credits, the duo have an impressive collective CV, including recitals at The British Flute Society’s International Convention in Manchester, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and The Petworth Festival, a tour of Denmark playing the Nielsen Concerto, which was recorded and broadcast by the BBC, and several recordings on soundtracks for short films shown for both British and International television.
